View in gallery Stride i: Cut a piece of foam board that is 1 inch wide past 5 ½ inches long. Then glue that piece of foam lath towards the bottom of your canvas, forming an arch. In one case that piece has been glued on, trace around it onto another piece of foam board. The shape that you trace should be half of a circle. When that piece has been cut out, glue it to the bottom of the "arch" that you made with the first slice of foam board.
This will form the bottom of your vase.
View in gallery Step 2: Cut out some other piece of foam board that is 1 inch wide by 5 ½ inches long. Then gum that piece into place (just like step i) vi inches above the lesser of your vase.
This will form the pinnacle of your vase.
View in gallery Step 3: Gum your newspaper straws around the arches y'all fabricated in steps 1 and 2. Make sure you cut off any actress (hanging over) harbinger from the bottom while y'all are gluing.
View in gallery Step 4: If you want your flowers to have more than "body" or to expect fuller, so I would suggest crumbling up some tissue paper and gluing it into the centre of your canvas. By doing this y'all will be creating a small platform for some of your flowers to go on. This volition help "raise" your flowers off the sheet and give it a more 3D look. However, this pace is optional.
At this point, you lot can begin to gum each of your flowers onto your sail. There is no right or wrong way to do this, so just have fun! With that being said, just brand sure you don't forget your leaves. This is because the leaves really bring the whole piece together and assist to fill in any little gaps.
